Winter Coat Drive

Share the Warmth!

As the temperatures drop, United Way of Mahaska County (UWMC) gets to work to keep our community warm. The Annual Winter Coat Drive collects winter outerwear and distributes it to those in need in our community. The drive offers locals a chance to clean out their closets and make an impact during the season of giving. Scroll down for more information about this year's drive.

Volunteer

This year due to a few program changes we are in need of volunteers on certain dates throughout the winter season to help sort and organize coats. If you, your family, team, or organization is interested in getting involved sign up using the link below or contact our office at 641.673.6043

Donations

In order to share the warmth, we need YOUR help. Bring your clean, new or gently used winter coats, hats, gloves/mittens, scarves, boots, snowpants, and other winter outerwear to any of our collections sites during the drive. All donated items are given to people in need at no charge, and no questions asked. For information about receiving a winter coat, contact United Way of Mahaska County at 641.673.6043.

Note: We ask that ONLY donations of winter outerwear be made at collection sites.
