The Oskaloosa Summer Lunch Program provides local children with free meals and fun, educational activities. Oskaloosa Summer Lunch is a great way for kids to get out of the house to spend time with friends and receive a delicious, FREE meal! The Summer Lunch Program serves a healthy meal to children ages 1 - 18 years old at several sites in the community.
Stay tuned for information about the dates and locations for 2018. Although our main focus in this program is food, the Iowa Reading Corp, as well as many volunteers, will be there to help children take part in activities that focus on teamwork, reading, physical activity, and of course, fun!
Volunteers play a huge role in this program and are responsible for all food preparation, services, and clean up. Anyone age 13 and up is encouraged to volunteer. Scroll down to view the complete list of sites. Volunteer needs for sites will be listed under each site as information becomes available.
