On Monday, April 27th United Way of Mahaska County was allowed to honor over 138 local volunteers who attended the Annual United Way Appreciation Luncheon. The Luncheon was held at the St. Mary's Parish Center this year due to the tremondous outpouring of volunteer participation in our community. Volunteers for United Way member agencies help us "go the distance" by helping others. Without them, we would not be able to cross the finish line. This reception helped us honor the many volunteers who go the distance for others. We again thank them for their hard work, generosity, and continued dedication.

Everyone had a great time in sharing their stories on how they LIVE UNITED. Guests were able to choose from many wonderful prizes and ate an absolutely amazing meal. United Way and the volunteers were awestruck by the generosity of our local restaurants and vendors who made the event possible.Â No one walked away hungry or unappreciated from this event!
