Oskaloosa Homecoming Parade

United Way of Mahaska County supports our community in many different ways.

For the past several years, one way they have shown their supported to Oskaloosa Community School District is by participating in the annual Homecoming Parade. Staff and volunteers walk the route handing out candy and fliers. This year United Way handed out, packets of flower seeds.

Other ways United Way supports the school system is with a Special Grant awarded to the Oskaloosa Middle School At-Risk Program for their Annual I-Cub Outings and another Special Grant awarded to the Oskaloosa Senior High School's Peer Helpers allowing them to provide winter clothing and Christmas presents to needy elementary school children.
