Volunteers Trained for United Way's FREE Tax Preparation Site   On January 31st volunteers gathered at United Way of Mahaska County to be trained by an  Internal Revenue Service Senior Tax Consultant getting them ready to kick off the first FREE Tax Preparation Site in Mahaska County.  The IRS along with Iowans for Social and Economic Development assist many locations statewide and are exctied United Way of Mahaska County is willing to host a Free Tax Preparation Site for their residents.    Taxes Prepared by Appointment Only! Call United Way at 641-673-6043   Saturday, February 7th, 14th, 21st, & 28th 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Thursday, February 12th & 19th 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.   Bring with you to your appointment: - Proof of Identification - photo id - Social Security Card or Letter from Social Security Office - Proof of Birthdates - Current Tax Package -Wage & Earnings Statements from all employers (Form W-2,W2g, 1099-R) - Interest and Divident Statements from banks (Form 1099) - Copy of Last Year's Returns - Total Amount Paid for Day Care with the Providers Tax ID Number - Amount of Stimulus Payment in 2008 or if your filed and received it - Bank Routing Numbers and Account Numbers for Direct Deposit   Tax Site Information Flier
