United Way of Mahaska County is excited to announce the Grand Prizes for the Top Male and Top Female Runners in the LIVE UNITED 5K Run and Family Day taking place this Saturday, May 2nd.  Work Systems Rehab has donated a Complete Running Analysis for each Top Winner.  This analysis looks at running form and technique to facilitate the balanced biomechanics which are the foundations of running fast, efficiently and injury free.  Dartfish, a motion analysis software, is used during this process to allow detailed assessment.  The Dartfish performance sport video training applications are widely used by professional, Olympic and other amateur athletes.

            The event will be covered by The Oskaloosa Herald, a live remote by KBOE Radio; and featured on MCG’s CRI (Communications Research Institute).  VIP treatment for our runners and walkers is being provided by Hy-Vee and Mahaska Bottling.  The FREE Community Family Picnic is being dontated by Sodexho Food Services on the William Penn Campus.
