Funding Opportunities
Funding Opportunities
To qualify, an agency must be established as a human service tax-exempt organization under the IRS Code Section 501(c) 3. The allocation packet requests agency information in the areas of: constitution and bylaws, management, financial reports, statement of cooperation and statement of nondiscrimination. The agency must additionally meet the funding criteria, financial accountability, community needs, program priorities and effectiveness. Those agencies wishing to be considered for 2012 allocations must return the funding application by noon on January 6, 2012.
This year we are placing a strong emphasis on outcomes and accountability for each agency chosen for funding in 2012. We need to make measurable improvements to the day to day lives of the people in our county, by focusing on the three building blocks for creating a better life-education, income and health. By doing this, we ensure that families become stronger, healthier and more financially stable. The United Way’s investment process is a genuine reflection of our commitment to our community, and creating a better life for everyone.
