Each year, United Way of Mahaska County invests donor dollars in partner agencies through the Community Investment Process. This process is designed to provide funding for specific programs delivered by nonprofit partners that can demonstrate measurable results and impact in the areas of income, health and education.
During the process, investment teams oversee the delegation of funds. These teams are comprised of community volunteers who represent a variety of expertise and backgrounds. Programs are evaluated annually by the appropriate team, who in turn provide recommendations on levels of investment.
Anyone interested in volunteering on a Community Investment Team should contact United Way at 641-673-6043.
